Its name is "iRobi" and it is manufactured by Yujin Robotics, a South Korean company. This robot will keep your house while you're away, with its built-in sensors allowing to move into your house and to detect intruders.

iRobi also can speak, sing, take pictures and entertain kids. So don't look at the price tag.
According to the Chosun Ilbo in its English Edition, it should be available in April 2004, at least in Asia, for about $3,000.
