WTF? How are Anne Heche and Snell related? Her blog is number 7 on his list of related links. And what is that about Ellen looking matronly? Too funny...

This or this? I think I’ll stick with Simon’s solution...

...

This is a book I want to read: http://news.com.com/2100-1040-882021.html

After all, she was smart enough to figure out that Network Computers were a good idea!

...

Wi-Fi "lite" from Microsoft

I wonder if that would be useful in the home?

...

What would I do if I had a kick ass team of developers? Understood that it is all about volume? Was passionate about UIs? Just figured out why .NET is cool and wished that CLR distribution wasn’t an issue?

I don’t know...that depends...do I think I have all the answers?

...

Why was PDC cancelled/postponed? Because CES is after New Years not before it.

Why was Hailstorm cancelled? It wasn’t, but Chris already explained that.

Why did Microsoft give up on UltimateTV? Because it was a failure? No but that was a good guess...

Why did Microsoft create Passport? To take over the web? Or build a toll both? Yeah that’s likely...

Where is the future battle? They already told you.

...

<quote> Google created a new API. Now what?

...Now lets assume that somebody pursues this. At this point, the game changes. Neither party will be particularly amused if the key that is used for other purposes by a third party...

...Announced yesterday was the WS-Security specification.  The stated goal of WS-Security is to enable applications to construct secure SOAP message exchanges.  It does this by providing three main mechanisms: security token propagation, message integrity, and message confidentiality...

[Sam Ruby] </quote>

That is what Passport was about too. But Microsoft seems to understand that they will never be able to make Passport universal. They are playing nicely. They are working with the industry. So is IBM.

Will Microsoft and IBM get credit for that? Not likely. But while the rest of the world is whining about lack of fairness, Microsoft and IBM are doing real work that will make my life easier.

...

Word hyperlinks even work as expected!!!

...

I just purchased Radio...thanks to Simon’s kick ass Word macro...

Tonight I’m going to see what it takes to do the same thing using the Microsoft Office XP Web Services Toolkit

...

A new post from Word!!

I’m now editing an existing item.

...

Radio Blogging from Word [Simon Fell]

Cool...now I just need to finish setting it up. Thanks Simon!
