You know for years, leftists and Arabs, and all kind of anti-Semites have compared Israel to South Africa. For the last few years, there's been a divestment campaign against Israel as was done against South Africa. Many Jews shrugged off the comparison, or hid from it. And most decent people of all persuasions, argued, "No it's not true, Israel is a democracy, and the old South Africa had apartheid."
If Arabs can live as equal citizens in Israel, able to be elected to the Knesset (there are Arab citizens in Israel's parliament), or serve on Israel's Supreme Court (there is an Arab Supreme Court Justice), why can't Jews be equal citizens in the democratic Palestinian state in the making, with full rights, responsibilities, and privileges?

Muslim denies plane crash plot CNN - Treason suspect Metin Kaplan has denied allegations at the opening of his trial that he masterminded a failed plot to crash an airplane into the mausoleum of the founder of secular Turkey.
Kaplan, dubbed the "Caliph of Cologne" by his supporters, told the court in Istanbul Monday that Islam opposed terrorism and that he was not involved in any kind of terrorist activity.
"I am a Muslim ... no Muslim can be a terrorist...Islam means peace," said Kaplan, who quoted lengthy excerpts from the Koran during his testimony and at one point was ordered by the judge to keep his voice down.

Here is Kaplan showing the peaceful sword of Islam. This is the sort of thing you would have heard from Atta, and the other 9/11 hijackers, if they had been caught BEFORE 9/11.

Iran Atomic Work Breaks Spirit of Accord-Diplomats Reuters, NY - Iran's decision to keep preparing raw uranium for enrichment, a step on the way to making nuclear weapons, breaks the spirit though not the letter of its pledge to freeze all such activity, diplomats said on Tuesday.
Under a deal Iran reached with three EU nations to freeze all enrichment activity as of Nov. 22, preparing "yellowcake" uranium for enrichment is strictly prohibited. But the accord allowed Iran to finish some limited uranium conversion work that it had already begun before the suspension took effect.
But Iran will now continue enrichment-related work until February, Western diplomats told Reuters.
