Innovation? Yeah Right!

Yesterday's Supreme Court copyright decision http://news.com.com/2100-1023-980792.html wasn't the only major "legal decision" handed down this week.  A US District Court Judge ruled that ABC can press ahead with their Survivor take-off program, which will include celebrities, apparently. (http://asia.cnn.com/2003/SHOWBIZ/TV/01/14/survivor.lawsuit.ap/  My favorite quote from the decision was, "The judge said ruling against ABC would 'stifle innovation and stifle the creative process.'"

Innovation? Yeah, right. Given that all of this stuff was "stolen" from the BBC in the first place? http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/chronicle/archive/2003/01/14/DD65754.DTL
