The Tadpole | "Located about 420 million light-years away in Draco, the object is a gravitationally disrupted spiral" [Sky & Telescope] ... Let me say that again "420 MILLION LIGHT-YEARS".
Adobe GoLive | "I let [GoLive 6] convert my HTML 4.0.1 Strict into XHTML 1.0 Transitional ... and it validated." [Zeldman]
...I went to Adobe's Sydney Photoshop roadshow today.. very dull! What was interesting was what was NOT mentioned rather than what was. The presentation was all about the automation and intergration of thier Web Design suite, but played heavily to the "never have to get your hands dirty with code" crowd.. didn't even show the coding environment or mention the acronyms XHTML, XML or SVG... not even once... which is odd given that at the Illustrator launch late last year these were explained at length and demoed to a wide eyed crowd... Illustrator isn't part of the Adobe Web Design package though, it's bundled with the Print Design package???
I have a feeling that the Macromedia show next week will be hyped to the other extreme and be a lot more focused.
A bridge too far? | "Forecasters say billions will be spent on "Web services". In reality, few companies are lining up to stitch their systems together, reports Nathan Cochrane." [SMH]
