Radio.root update "system.verbs.builtins.xml.rss.compileService changed on Sun, 22 Sep 2002 16:53:51 GMT: The guid-aware version of the feed compiler. For RSS 2.0 feeds that implement the guid element, items will not repeat when the title, link or description change. This is the first RSS 2.0-based feature to ship for UserLand's aggregator."

Huh!!??...I had thought that I wanted to know when a "link or description change". Permalink

XHTML 2.0 sneaky peak | "Good-bye backward compatibility, hello structure" [IBM developer works] ...via Zeldman Permalink

I've been Googling around trying to find some discussion about Ian Hickson's article "Sending XHTML as text/html Considered Harmful" which I saw recently linked to from Cafe con Leche....

...but all I can find is someone who appears to agree with him and some others who have trodden a path before me.

If someone enlightened in these matters can take a minute to help me to relax again and explain why I need to keep/stop taking the XHTML cool aid I'd be grateful. Permalink
