W3C Publishes Extensible Markup Language (XML) 1.1 as a Candidate Recommendation. W3C has released 'Extensible Markup Language (XML) 1.1' as a Candidate Recommendation. The specification addresses Unicode, control character, and line ending issues. XML 1.1 names are designed so that everything that is not forbidden (for a specific reason) is permitted.
