Ed Cone on MLK Day
MLK Day: I wrote my newspaper column about Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, which goes beyond civil rights to a bedrock belief in nonviolence. My primary text was King's Nobel acceptance speech, and not just to remind people that his oratory did not start and end with "I have a dream." MLK is one of the few people I would hold up as a personal hero. Not everyone agrees. [EdCone.com]
Ed Cone explains why Marting Luther King Jr. deserves to have a holiday. Amen.
