One of the things that really gets on my nerve is tailgating. Tonight is another night when I was travelling along CTE from AYE when a BMW (3 series I think) with the license plate of SDP4461U began to tailgate me at the speed of 90km/h. It really gave me an uncomfortable feeling to see a car in the rear-veiw mirror, without being able to see it's head-lights. Tapping on the brakes to try to ward of this kid (yes, I am jumping to conclusion, but this kind of behaviour comes 90% from a kid under the age of 23 years...see recent article on Straits Times for the MRT accident involving a 23-year-old-kid.) did not work. He simply kept up the pace and over took me on the second lane.
I high-beamed him a few times, and he began to tap his brake to show his displeasure. Of course I did not want to play the game with him and did not continue to follow him. I filtered to the second lane, but he slowed down to filter into the lane behind and gave me a few high-beam flashes...talk about childishness. Anyway, after that he sped off into the distance.
Sigh....just too bad that the roads of Singapore are infested with such inconsiderate drivers.
