Synthetic Morpheme Christopher Taylor's editorials on Science, Technology, Salsa dancing and more ![]() I have generally been skeptical of the exaggerated claims made in the media about how the IT industry is going to be devastated in the US as companies move to outsource development to India. I have continually argued that this is only going to be cost effective for certain projects, particularly large projects, where the overhead of moving a project oversees can be compensated for by the reduced labor costs. CIO Magazine dispells some of the myths of outsourcing [The Hidden Costs of Offshore Outsourcing]. Now, that said, I have actually thought about getting into the offshore outsourcing pipeline.
