I spent $300 on books today. I used to gripe about reading online. Now I read everything online. Oh.. no.. wait.. actually I don't! I can edit/read/compile/debug reams and reams of code on the screen. But I can only read a few sentances or maybe a whole paragraph of text before I have to print it out.
This weekend I'm digging into a bunch of good stuff:
And enough XSLT to do something interesting, but hopefully not enough to hurt me too much.
I bought my books at Softpro - a store that has comfortable chairs, coffee, knowledgable staff and WiFi!! They even have a shower. One could just live and code there, have access to any (current) computer book or magazine, and occasionally walk out to the mega mall across the street for food or a movie. Then I remembered that BN has Starbucks that has T-Mobile. But get this: Softpro's WiFi is free. As it should be. I just spent $300.00 there, right?!!!
