Instead of the usual formal prom attire, Samantha Isakson, left, and Luke Peterson chose a sticker option and crafted their 16th-century costumes using nearly 70 rolls of tape in five colors.
RED WING, Minn. - Creating prom outfits from duct tape wasn't enough for one Minnesota teenaged couple. They decided to make 16th-century costumes out of the handyman's best friend.
Samantha Isakson and Luke Peterson used nearly 70 rolls of duct tape in five colors. Samantha wore a hoop skirt - crafted from taping over two Hula Hoops.
Luke wasn't too worried about their outfits becoming unglued. But he had some tape hidden in his hat, just in case.
The Red Wing High School students hope their duct-tape formals are good enough to win a contest sponsored by Duck Brand duct tape.
