Detail on the Atkins Diet

I find it intersting how so many "specialists" are so invested in the idea that it is fat that makes you fat. 25 years of fat = fat has lead to a huge increase in the eating of carbs. The result is that the fat epidemic is much worse. They get so angry when carbs are questioned. Why??

Good stuff in the link on both the Atkins approach and the anger of those that disagree.

I am only a simple thinker but I cannot get away from the fact that humans have been eating meat and fat for about 4 million years and have only eaten carbs for 10,000 and have only eaten a lot of carbs for 25 years. We have never been fat as a group before. We ate only meat, fish, insects, fruit and nuts for 4 million years. Hunter gatherers did not waste their time on salads. Leaves were used as medicine not food. Everything was eaten in season as there was no storage. There is not a carb in sight in the traditional human diet.
