   Cocoon Source Resolving
Freitag, 26. April 2002

I hope I can get some time over the weekend to look at Scarab. It looks very promissing, but unfortunately I have only a standalone linux system at home where I have to configure an SMTP server :( Oh, well, the last time I fiddled through unix scripts is more than 4 years ago...But fortunately, the installation of Scarab itself is very simple and easy, especially compared to BugZilla which I didn't get to work...The projects on Tigris are very interesting. I hope I can get Subversion installed sometime soon and replace CVS with it.

Today, the development of Cocoon reached a critical point after several month of drifting in silent water. The integration of new Avalon Excalibur components, like the source resolver or the xmlizer will deprecate a lot of classes in Cocoon and make many things much more elegant. I'm very eager to rewrite the caching system of Cocoon to reflect this. So stay tuned. By the way, Avalon rocks!

Wow, if you know how, it's that simple to install your own weblog. Thanks to Matthew.
