Luxury items can represent true quality, although I found it disconcerting that the party who left me a half bottle of 1989 Kinsler Cabernet drank almost the whole bottle of Mondavi reserve, unfiltered, which was so tannin it could have been tea. So it is with so many cab drinkers - tannin is what makes the experience, raised as they are on blaring everything. This is the type of experience that makes me want to be rich, to have a wine cellar with wines that I enjoy, but cannot presently afford. 2:39:52 AM    comment []
