I was just thinking tonight how, if my mind IS like a steel trap, it chops off just a little too much in the capturing.
I was also thinking again about religions based on vengeance or hatred
or exclusion, and how counter that is to what everyone involved in
religion essentially belies in - which is communion with fellow humans
and God. If someone's god is a vengeful god, doesn't it make sense that
the vengeance based religions should rest secure enough in that
knowledge to not wreap his will and destruction on this earth? They
should be the very religions not worrying about anything anyone else is
doing because, by god, he's going to burn them all to hell. I just
don't get the entire Shiite and Sunni conflict. Church traditions that
use the Bible to justify hate - I keep hoping I get to use the response
I have to some alleged fundamentalist Christian challenging me as a
"liberal" Christian because I interpret God's word, rather than obeying
God's word, that they do exactly the same thing, and use it in a
direction that directly contradicts the core of Jesus message. Which do
you think is the way of Satan?
