An overview of web services startups

Web-Services Startups. More than 100 web services startups are profiled in a new report compiled by Deloitte & Touche Corporate Finance. This is the most thorough coverage I've seen of early-stage companies in this niche. Thanks to an arrangement between D&T and Phil Wainewright, you can download the printable PDF through Phil's web site, LooselyCoupled.com. [Doug Kaye: Web Services Strategies]

Interesting report. Many thanks to Phil Wainewright and D&T for making it available. It seems to give a pretty comprehensive overview of the web services startup space.

BPEL4WS has learning guide, what about BPML?

BPEL4WS Learning Guide. BPEL Learning Guide contains a smattering of information about BPEL4WS Java developers need to publish synchronous and asynchronous Web services and compose them into reliable and transactional business flows. Web service orchestration standards (SOAP Conversation, BPEL4WS and WS-Transaction) are emerging and need to be packaged into a reliable and easy-to-manage software solution. So we've gathered a wealth of information to get you up-to-speed quickly.... [bob mcwhirter]

BPML seems to be lagging behind BPEL4WS in "soft" asset category - free or trial implementations, tutorials, papers, sample codes, language bindings, tools and vendor support. Only Intalio (who founded BPML.org) and few others seem to back BPML while many BPML members like SAP and BEA are now jumping the ship to BPEL4WS.
