How Long will it be on my Credit Report
How long an account remains on your credit report depends upon whether it's considered positive, or derogatory. Positive information stays indefinitely, but negative is eventually removed.
Bankruptcy stays on your credit report for 10 years. Other negative information stays on your report for 7 years. The question is, how do they count the seven years? It may vary from bureau to bureau, and it can be worth your while to contact Experian, Equifax, and/or Trans Union if a discrepancy exists.
