Browser Wish:
I want an Icon on my top menu bar that goes from Green to Red and sounds some alarm bell when my Internet connection is lost, so as to reduce my hassle of recovery.
Here's a familiar scenario: I am posting stuff to the Internet. I am keying merrily away lost in thought associated with my flow of writings, then I try to Post (Save) my work so far, only to be informed that my Internet connection is lost. At this point a few bad words emit from my mouth, I open some other area like perhaps an e-mail text, cut and paste from where I was working, to that temporary work area, print out a reference copy of the indentation and other stuff not preserved wherever I copied it to, then reboot my PC, then restart my applications, then use my temporary copy to recover whatever it was I was working on.

In one of my e Radio Ideas collections, I wrote, with respect to News Aggregation:
'For example, I might be going down the list doing some deletion checking off, then come to a post I want to react to right now, before I lose my place, but that means I lose the fact I just checked a bunch of boxes...'
After dws.Radio.FAQ shared this, Peter Cook commented
I have a pretty simple solution which works right now and doesn't involve any coding from UserLand.
- Command-click on the 'Post' button of the item you are interested in.
- A new browser window opens, you edit and post as you see fit, close that window (if you like) and return to your original list.
- There are other variations on this (eg, drag the 'Post' button into another open browser window/tab) and you may need to substitute command-click for whatever works on your browser/platform.
