Household budget notes One adjustment we make when having children is in food quality. I love good orange juice (Minute Maid or Tropicana) and good bread (Brownberry or Great Harvest) but the kids spill the orange juice and masticate the bread and leave it in balls on the table. So we buy "down market" brands now. The difference is about a dollar per quart and $1.50 per loaf. Its better for my health too as far as calories are concerned. I might drink two huge glasses of Minute Maid O.J. in the morning, but now I can drink a small glass of the generic stuff and say, " well, that's enough liquified orange peels for me. "
