Bike Ride Through Richfield, Minnesota I went for a bike ride last night through the eastern part of Richfield. I saw a total of four people outdoors for the entire 40 blocks I covered. This was a beautiful day just after school let out and there were no kids anywhere. I had passed into the eerie "Airport Impact Zone" along Cedar Ave. About 20 houses were up on bricks and ready to be hauled away. I learn now that they are part of the Airport Noise Aquisition Project to get ready for the new North South Runway at the airport. I stopped to ask two guys sitting in lawn chairs in a driveway why the homes were being moved and they ignored me. I don't know if they were deaf from airport noise, were ignoring me on purpose, or I had crossed into some dimensional rift where I could see them and they could not see me.
