I made a map of my bike route to work.  It is 12 miles and about 90% of it is on trails.  To build the map, I went to the Metropolitan Council site and used an internet tool called Data Cafe.  It was incredibly easy to install and use.  I exported data from Data Cafe to ArcView and then added labels and then exported that to a JPEG File.  Data Cafe uses a java tool called Web Start which is  really an applications browser written in Java and lends more flexibility in programming than a browser.  I feel like I am at the start of a long journey.... 2:54:10 PM    comment [] I rode in this morning and was energized by the smell of hops coming from the Landmark Brewery 10:32:21 AM    comment []
