Internet explorer was acting so strange for a while that I started using Mozilla instead. I finally took the time (Today is "learn new stuff Friday") to find out why. Symptoms: Right click was really slow, it only allowed me to save pictures as .bmp files, and I couldn't get "view source" to work. Two resources really helped: IE answers and Annoyances.org I changed the registry settings for McAfee virus scan that cured the right click problem (why the hell would a virus scan be related to right-click in a program?) and then I emptied my cached internet and history files and that seems to have fixed the .bmp problem and the view source problem. I had so much crap in cache that it was using all available memory alloted. Funny how this never happened on my old machine with a fraction of the memory.
