Google Rejects My Advertising Scheme Has Google has banned the use of Fair and Balanced as an ad word? A few days ago, an ad for Al Franken's book showed up there along with an ad that I placed. Now they are gone! Google said in an email:
Hello Timothy, (the voice of God?)
Thank you for advertising with Google AdWords. After reviewing your account, I have found that one or more of your ads or keywords does not meet our guidelines. The results are outlined in the report below.
---------------------------------------------- Campaign: 'Campaign #1,' Ad Group: 'Ad Group #1' ----------------------------------------------
AD TEXT:
Crazy Like Fox I have always considered myself Fair and Balanced http://radio.weblogs.com/0108008
Action taken: Suspended - Pending Revision Issue(s): Ad Text Relevance ~~~~~~~~~
SUGGESTIONS: -> Ad Text: Please edit your ad text, as it does not accurately and specifically reflect your site content and/or line of business.
To refine your ad text:
1. Consider adding relevant keywords to your ad text. This will let users know that your ad is specific to their searches and encourage them to click on it. For example, you may wish to use the following ad title: "Fair and Balanced"
2. Use more descriptive language in your ad text. The more informative your text is, the more likely it is you will reach and attract potential customers. For example, you may wish to use the following ad text: "Mcgyver5's Radio Weblog" "Computer games for kids reviewed"
Sincerely,
The Google AdWords Team
