The Wrens - Documentary in Progress --- And let me tell you about the Wrens. Rewind several years back, and imagine a struggling band composed of four guys. And after two critically-acclaimed albums, this band is unceremoniously dropped by the label that could have made them big. A seven-year hiatus follows as they go through major label courtship rituals that leave them adrift. Finally, in 2003, the band releases a heart-breaking but triumphant album. That album, "The Meadowlands," has brought the Wrens renewed critical acclaim, from the smallest zine to the behemoths of the music journalism world, and a new legion of fans.
