When you love pop music the way Robert Schneider does, restraint would only get in the way. Take "Go!," a paean to leaving from his band the Apples in stereo's upcoming greatest-hits package, #1 Hits Explosion (a new, perhaps more modestly named studio album is in the oven). It's like one enormous grinning hook spread over three minutes, with horns and "doo doo doo" background vocals fighting for intrasong supremacy, and a breakdown that's hairy enough to make you kind of want to hear an entire album of that stuff at some point.
