Bill R.: I've been using a news aggregator built into Radio UserLand, my primary weblogging tool, for several years now. There's also one in iBlog, though not as convenient as the Radio UserLand one. But in any case, they really are nice. Instead of a list of URLs that you might 'cruise', the headlines (and a bit of the story) come to you. Saves lots of time. Source of info is not only traditional media, but also personal weblogs. And some of these are very good (e.g., Dave Winer, Doc Searls, Adam Curry, the list goes on forever). This article in the Washington Post identifies some free news aggregator's, but just that function - not for weblogging.

News You Can Choose : "News aggregator" programs, also called "news readers," take the Web out of the browser, bringing the news to you almost as fast as it can be uploaded. (Washington Post via MyAppleMenu) [MyAppleMenu]
