Carrying the Lantern

I've been listening to Adam C. and Dave W.'s audio blogs since they each ignited the current movement in podcasting - can you believe it was only mid August?!

Adam is a bit more polished at it, I suspect owing to his experience in the entertainment industry. But what really sets them both apart is their attitudes - they are excited and it comes through loud & clear. Something, I might add, that would be nearly impossible to convey in the usual blogging fashion. This excitement carries into the intellectual domain as you listen to them feed off each other talking about the future of podcasting, how the momentum is building, and the multitude of possibilities.

As for all the nay-sayers that wine "I did an audio blog back in blah, blah", I might point out that you are judged on what you do, not what you say. Adam and Dave have done it for the rest of us. Setting the example day after day, sharing their growth with us on the 'how to' side, establishing ipodder.org and all the enabling infrastructure that entails.

Don't know if or when I might start podcasting, but for now I'm really enjoying the ride as I listen to Adam, Dave W. , Dave S. et al hand me some truly enjoyable tracks, to entertain and educate me; when I choose and how I choose.
