Texas police Attempt Drug Roadblocks
The Texas Police's new tactic attempt to sneak indiscriminate drug roadblocks ran into public criticism, may have racially profiled drivers, and of course, were not successful in terms of confiscating drugs.

Biddeford Public Access Still Off the Air
The Biddeford Public Access station, which had been shut down by the city in response to the content on some of its shows, will be allowed to stay down while the city drafts rules for its use, despite its obvious importance as a citizen-level media tool. MCLU's David Laurie, who has been fighting the city on the case, is pressing forward to protect the freedoms of speech and press for Biddeford residents.

Automatic Deportation raises due process problems
Svay, a South Portland resident who has lived in the United States since he was five, faces automatic deportation from the US to Cambodia following his OUI conviction. Although he will have a hearing in front of an immigration judge before being deported, he will have little leeway. Due to the new rigid standard for deportation of residents, Svay's criminal court judge was put into a sentencing dilemma.
