I briefly tried using Mozilla RC3 today. Brad Wilson pointed out in a post on the OT list that Mozilla had built in support for disabling popup/under windows. I decided to give it a try. It looked extremely promising at first and I was almost sold, but there were a few things that just bothered me.
First of all, it seems to have a problem displaying the Radio 8.0.8 editor control. The text formatting comboboxes and buttons aren't visible. Using it for a blogging client seems out of the question.
It also seems to be very clunky sometimes. It would go through periods with short but noticable pauses in responsiveness. IE6 zips along in comparison.
I was also disappointed with the lack of PDA integration with the email reader and address book. It looks like there have been a couple of efforts to support this in the past, but nothing has been done for a while.
Overall, it definitely has potential. When I get a chance, I might try it some more and see if I can work around the performance issues. I'll give the 1.0 version a try when it comes out. If it looks more stable, maybe I'll work on an integration piece for my IPaq.
