The newest version of the excelent Firebird and Interbase administration tool QuickDesk 2.7.0.1 is now available.  Lots of nice new features.   It's good to see the competition between IBExpert and EMS continues! 11:11:00 PM

Hey - I realize that this has noting to do with our topic, but you really should do yourself a favor and spend a week using Opera as your new browser.  Make sure to read the help and learn the keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures.  If you frequently review a large number of sites for new content (as I do while researching topics for the blog) it has a really useful ability to opena whole folder of bookmarks with 1 click.  The MDI interface makes it really fast to crank through a ton of sites. 10:53:47 PM

Craig Stuntz has released an updated version of the great Freeware utility IBPlanalyzer: Today I released IB PLANalyzer 1.01. It's the same application as IB PLANalyzer 1.0, but it has vastly improved help. I believe that the help for IB PLANalyzer is now the most comprehensive guide to InterBase optimization available anywhere. 10:48:52 PM
