Interesting piece on the World Cup, well at least some the technology behind it.  Rounder footballs, just-in-time turf and 8-studded boots.  Where will it all end?  http://news.bbc.co.uk/hi/english/sci/tech/newsid_2019000/2019075.stm

Still no reply from Dominos.  I think their pizzas are as dead as their customer service operatives.  They haven't even sent a computer generated "Thank-you for your comments" email!

And evidently, there is where the whole baby racing idea came from -> http://www.cnn.com/WORLD/9706/27/hong.kong.babies/

I know how easy this stuff is to engineer, however product like Seiko's InkLink continue to amaze me.  Simple enough and cheap enough to be useful.  Atlteast until Ericsson's ChatPen is finished...

Wow!  I am still not listed on Google, and Radio Stats claims that noone is reading my site!  Welcome to the not often visited, very secret part of the web.

Dear Dominos,

Tonight I thought I treat my family to a Dominos pizza meal, but I am sorry to say that we are not happy.  Let me detail exactly what has happened:

- we were unable to place the order by telephone, because the Domino person taking the order had a defective telephone and was unable to hear us properly.  I hasten to add we experience no similar difficulty with any other telephone caller.

- we then decided to order over the internet.

- there were no special deals available over the Domino's internet, we were forced to pay full price.

- when our pizzas arrived, they came with a leaflet that explained we could have a special deal this month which would save us over 6 pounds (10 dollars)!

- despite coming in special "oven hot" boxes, the pizzas were actually only luke warm

- our pizza bases were so tough we could hardly chew them, in fact they tasted like cardboard.

- there was so much salt in the pizzas that we are left with a salty taste in our mouths, and we have had to drink lots of water to try flush the horrible taste away.

We now feel cheated out of our money.  We feel like we have eaten a bad meal.  And we feel very upset with Dominos.

In light of the terrible evening we have had, I would like you to give me a 25 pound voucher for our next meal, and an assurance that these types of problems will not occur next time.

Regards,

Richard

Which one should I get?" And I had to say TiVo. [Daypop Top News Stories]
