NEW PULSE PUBLICATION
New PULSE publication and web site Last week marked the publication of the first issue of the PULSE Quarterly Briefing, already called "a triumphant inaugural issue" (Paul Lefkovitz, CEO, Behavioral Pathway Systems), "an extraordinary document and effort" (Ken Thompson, University of Pittsburgh Medical School) and "very useful" (Elaine Alfano, Bazelon center for Mental Health Law). The link above will take you to the new PULSE Community Site and detailed information on the new PQB and related information services for individuals and organizations (which include access to the site's communications tools). Please note that PQB subscriptions are available at a 25% discount until July 15. At the site you can also download the full text of the introduction to the first issue, a free excerpt, and an annotated table of contents. After an emailing to PULSE "headlines" subscribers last week, I was especially pleased when the very first person to respond (and order an organizational PQB subscription on behalf of the Ohio Department of Mental Health) was Michael Hogan, who chaired the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. Please contact me directly with any comments or questions about the PULSE Quarterly Briefing....
