'Crisis in mental health' (UK)
Story at This is Hertfordshire - "Barnet's mental health services are in crisis because an unprecedented number of social workers are quitting due to being overloaded with work, it was claimed this week. Public services union Unison said that, in the last three months, nine workers had either left or handed in their notice because they were worried about the standard of care they were providing and felt they were not being supported by senior managers. Sources at Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust said they had so much work that high-risk patients could slip through the net..."
