Groups feel singled out for mental-health, prescription cuts (Maine) Kennebec Journal story - "Those who need mental-health treatment are worried and fearful about $26 million in proposed cuts to state services. They're also angry. 'The state doesn't care,' Liz Carignan of Winthrop told lawmakers Tuesday as legislators reviewed a $5.6 million supplemental budget that includes the cuts. In all, more than 150 people came to the Statehouse to protest. Dozens testified at a hearing in front of members of the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee and the Health and Human Services Committee."
