Spell checking Web logs?
I am a lousy typist in that I make lots of errors, and I tend not to stop to correct them. I love Microsoft Word's autocorrect feature. One thing I haven't liked about Radio is that my posts tend to be full of typos. I've been looking around for a tool to help me spell check Radio entries. The first program that I tried was something called IeSpell. It added an entry to the tools section of IE, but it doesn't seem to recognize Radio's text entry box. Then I tried something that Russ Lipton suggested, MicroSpell. The program seems really powerful if you are a word lover. However, it has a bizarre interface, and doesn't correct as you type. You have to do the Scott Johnson trick of copying text to the clipboard, then spell checking it, then copying it back from the clipboard, all in source mode. That, plus the fact that it doesn't seem to work with my favorite text editor, NoteTab Pro, make it unlikely that I will keep it long term. It is a little too tedious. I'll keep if for now, at least until I find something better.
If anybody has other suggestions of better tools for spell checking weblogs, please let me know.
