The premise of the movie is that a down and out director, Al Pacino, discovers the perfect starlet, the computer generated Simone.
This movie is billed as a comedy. While there is sophisticated humour, in it, this is a very cerebral look at Hollywood. Therein lies the rub. This movie has alot to say. So much to say, in fact, that it occasionally gets bogged down by its own message(s).
