21 Grams is a movie that challenges the viewer philosophically and psychologically. It also challenges your patience. The first 45 minutes or so of the film are so meanderingly chaotic (oxymoron?) that you may be tempted to walk out in a state of total mystified frustration. If you can survive this celluloid test of endurance you will be rewarded. But be forewarned.
When what was murky becomes clear the viewer is treated to an unrelenting examination of the human heart. 21 Grams is not easy viewing but it is worthy of the effort it takes to digest its insights into the human condition.
Running time - 125 minutes.
