More on SeeYou

Has to be said SeeYou is great software. Apart from the visuals (see screenshots below) the airspace charts are great - 3-D GIS analysis of your flights to check on airspace infringements: that's not so straightforward to achieve. The fly through is great, unusual performance too (though I want to test it with higher resolution data: only used it with landsat TM so far downloaded from the web.

The statics too: will help sort all those claims for glide angle etc - at least here you can see your real performance, and get a grip on what the "best" real glides will be. Plus I can now see my preference for left turns is clearly there...

I also learnt that I glide and thermal at about the same speed (!!!), this was a big surprise. Although maybe, my thermal speed (from GPS) is a bit overestimated since the GPS track will cut corners. Maybe I should get an ASI (about the only gadget still outstanding).

All in all, superb software. Definitely recommended.
