Movie:
Suspiria
Date: 1977 Category: Horror Director: Dario Argento Big Stars: Jessica Harper, Udo Kier, Stefania Casini |
| Italian horror directors approached their genre as art. And no one exemplifies this approach more than Dario Argento. A collaborator with George Romero and son of a famous Italian director, Dario often traded plot for imagery and turned the visuals into story. Suspiria is the first part of his Three Mothers series. As in most Argento movies, there's innovative gore and a sense of a forboding dream. Suspiria is an accesible entry into Argento's weird world. His later movies featured his daughter Asia Argento. |
