Save the sound bite in your class folder. The folder is located after you sign in on your personal account, then go to classes folder, the collaboration folder and look for your name. Save only the finished sound bite as "News2soundbite." Save in the windows wav. PCM format. The sound bite should not be longer than 15 seconds. The total length of this radio story should be between 40-45 seconds. Also, when you write the script, write out the sound bite. Also, the assignment should be proofread by Sarah Jensen, the broadcast tutor. If you have any problems in the production room, you should consult with Sarah.

Here's a fairly comprehensive set of links relating to broadcast journalism and the broadcasting industry.

Assignment for Thursday, Jan. 18Three local (Wayne) news story ideas with contact info and angle of story.
