Chinchillas: The perfect pets for modern people. When most people think of pets, such things come to mind as dogs, cats, goldfish, hamsters, parakeets, and other common animals. Some people may also think of more unusual animals such as wolves or macaws. However, in our society we strive for the unique. Many people have been known to have pet pythons, lizards, and even some large cats. These animals are very high maintenance and require a lot more resources and dedication than traditional pets. However, there is one pet out there that is unusual, yet familiar, and easy to care for all at the same time. This creature is known as the chinchilla.
