K. D. Lang and Tony Bennett have recorded an album of Louie Armstrong music, and it's pretty good. There's a
review in the NY Times, though, with a bizarre reference to Lang as "a 41-year-old Canadian tomboy". K. D. Lang is not particularly well known for her tree-climbing; she's known for being an out of the closet lesbian country and western singer. Did the reviewer fail to get the memo, saying that it's okay to use the word "lesbian" in a newspaper these days?
