We had a discussion this morning about browser support in the division. Customers dislike upgrades, while vendors dislike supporting anything beyond the most recent browser release (and half the time, they mean the most recent release of MICROSOFT's browser, for Windows; all that other stuff just isn't on their radar screen). Of course, vendors claim to support standards, while customers claim that what they've always used should be "good enough" for everything.
The best contribution was this Bob Marley quote, from a particularly harried looking manager:
It's like the song says: 'Everybody wants to go to heaven...nobody wants to die.'
