U.S. warns it's prepared to use nuclear weapons
"the U.S. "reserves the right to respond with overwhelming force -- including through resort to all of our options -- to the use of WMD against the United States, our forces abroad and friends and allies." " [ctv.ca]
I'm not sure if I should conforted by the fact that my American friends are ready to respond to attacks against my country or disturbed by the fact that they are now publicly stating they would resort to nuclear responses to those attacks.

There appears to be two versions of The Official Canadian Tempurature Conversion Chart.
One with the lines: -500° Fahrenheit (-295° C) Hell freezes over. The Toronto Maple Leafs win the Stanley Cup.
and one without :)
Everyone knows the last time Hell Froze Over was in 1967. Hell doesn't appear to be scheduled to freeze over again until at least the 22nd century.

E-Tickets, the Only Way to Fly Air Canada
"Louise Crandall, a spokeswoman for the Association of Canadian Travel Agents, said one major drawback to e-ticketing is that passengers with a paperless ticket sometimes have difficulty switching to another airline if their original flight is cancelled. But she said the problem is being ironed out. " [canoe.ca]
I've always been a fan of e-tickets, use them whenever I can... but I've never had to switch airlines when a flight has been cancelled. If I had, I might have a different opinion.

Girl, 4, brings teacher gift of pot
"When Head Start Early Childhood Center teacher Iris Galvez asked where she got the gift Monday, the girl said she got it "from her mommy," according to a police report obtained by the Union-News of Springfield." [canoe.ca]
With these kinds of gifts showing up for teachers at school maybe a few more people will jump into the profession :)
