I Got To Go To An Apple Store
A picture named applestore.jpgMy wife and I headed up to Minneapolis this past weekend to get out of town for a few days. While were up there, we spent some time at the Mall of America and I got to visit an Apple store for the first time. What a place! It is so clean and bare. They carry a lot of software that you will never see in regular stores, including professional-level audio and video software. They had all sorts of bags for PowerBooks and iBooks and a bunch of accessories. When they first announced the stores, I was most doubtful of the "Genius Bar". I wasn't doubtful that they could staff it with properly knowledgeable people as much as I was doubtful that people would use it. If my visit was any indication, I was way off on this feeling. There were always people at it and having very good conversations. Not only were people getting good and right information from the genius bar, but from most employees at the store. These people really knew their stuff and were very happy to dispense it. I was very impressed.

Who Is the Sniper? Blogs Tell All.
Conspiracy theories have long been an Internet staple. But a dearth of evidence about the sniper -- and the phenomenal explosion of blogs -- have brought online speculation to a screeching crescendo. Sites like Unqualified Offerings, from Maryland blogger Jim Henley, are soliciting sniper scenarios like these by the pound. And big-league blogs, like Instapundit, are practically bursting with theories about the shooting spree. [Wired]
