iPods at Target
Apple, beginning this holiday season, has already announced that they will be selling iPods at Best Buy stores. While this may be a smart move from a marketing stand point, Best Buy employees have never been known to sing the praise of Apple products. In fact, I would swear that they are lectured every morning before the doors open to do everything in their power to convert any Mac user that wanders through into another Windows zombie...

ANYWAY, in what I believe is a much smarter move, Apple reportedly will also now begin selling their iPod at Target. Target has always been a store that through it's commercials and exclusive products has set itself apart from other department stores as one that has regard for design. I hope the iPod does very well there.

A Windows TiBook?
C|Net has a story about a new windows laptop designed by Porsche for Best Buy that looks a whole lot like an Apple PowerBook G4. Very thin, slot-loading CD/DVD, etc.

It has one feature that I've thought Apple should add to the PowerBooks and iBooks for the last couple of years: external Audio CD controls. This laptop allows you to close the lid and still listen to music with it. That's cool.

New York Tells Microsoft to Get Its Butterfly Decals Out of Town
A picture named 25deca.1.jpgMicrosoft launched MSN 8 from Central Park in New York City yesterday and as part of the promotion, placed MSN butterfly stickers all over the place. They were told soon after, by the city, to take them off. Ha ha.

Apparently this all happened very near the construction of AOL-Time Warner's new buildings.
