A Quiz Designed to Give You Fitts
I was reading a comment at
LinuxJournal.com about Safari and the poster was dissapointed that Apple seemingly had no regard for "Fitt's Law" when they designed the buttons for their new browser. I had never heard about Fitt's Law, so I googled it and found
this page at
at AskTog.com. It is a quiz that covers many UI concepts that I had not heard stated so clearly before. It answers questions such as where the easiest places to click on a screen are and why Macintosh sub-menus are easier to use than Windows sub-menus. Very fascinating.

Macromedia Acquires Presedia
Macromedia just announced the acquisition of Presedia, a leading provider of online presentation and e-learning solutions for sales, marketing, corporate communications, and online training. If you follow this link you can get a flavor of exactly what Presedia enables people to create. It's one of an emerging line of products for Information Convenience --- products that enable everyone, not just professional developers and designers, to create compelling online experiences and content. [Jeremy Allaire's Radio]
Macromedia has long had an interest in providing online learning solutions. I'm not sure if the future of this will provide easier to use products, or simply more powerful products.
