a monumental blunder

"Ken Worpole" in the Guardian today contrasts the 'wonder' of a pool that opened in 1898 in Malmo with the 'blunder' of Clissold where, showers no longer function, rusting ferrous hinges are making the rotting poolside-doors increasingly difficult to open and the glass wall between the competition pool and the gym keeps shattering due to the heat.

It is still impossible to find out how much the building cost and the elected mayor Jules Pipe has still not replied to our letter of 08 January 2003. The bicycle racks promised by Cllr Guy Nicholson around the 17 September 2002 have still not appeared.
