picture of speech day at the cricket competitionClissold Park users may be interested to see this picture of the last moments of the big Stoke Newington Cricket Club 5th birthday party being held in Clissold Park today.  It started with an under-11s match at 9.30 and concluded with a game between Stoke Newington Cricket Club and the England Blind Cricket Team.

There was a great brass band, smashing picnic and cake-cutting celebrations throughout the day, all to celebrate 5 years of cricket-coaching in the park.  There were scores of people there to support the event right up to the end, as well as enjoying another fine day in the park. The park looked great and was chocker with people having a great day. It was hard not to have a lump in your throat when the tireless David Blundell made his speech and said how much he had enjoyed the day, when you enjoy your own party you know it was a good one!
